 | 25 kilometres from Sungai Liang Forest Recreation Park is Luagan Lalak Forest Recreation Park. It covers an area of about 270 hectares, within the Labi Hills Forest Reserve.
This park features an alluvial freshwater swamp or ‘empran’. In drier months, the water level usually recedes drastically, and the valley is covered by a field of sedges, mainly Lepironia species. This occurrence is very rare in the country, or for that matter, in the whole island of Borneo. |
| | | | | | | This park has been built with amenities for the easy use of visitors. Shelters, footpaths and a wooden bridge of 200 meters spans across the lake can be seen. Further development and additional facilities are being proposed by the Forestry Department under the Ninth National Development Plan. |
